Last Wednesday night, I got a message from a friend inviting me to hangout since we had been pretty busy with works after new year. The message was “dataran” and I had this sudden lightbulb moment screaming in my head, IT’S TIME TO PRACTICE SHOOTING PORTRAIT & TRY THESE NEW GADGETS I JUST BOUGHT!!
I grabbed my camera, the stands, softbox, speedlights and tranceivers. Well, of course, they didn’t expect that I’ll bring my camera and “lighting sets” along for the meet up.
They were obviously surprised, looking at me from afar while I was walking towards them with bags of camera equipments. The funny part is, after the gentleman handshakes, I straight away set up the stand to mount the off-camera flash without saying much words while they starts to shy away-off from the camera.
Lock and load…
I’ve also shot Elvis….
and Ezra…
This practice assignment I focus mainly on shooting highly contrast portraits with only one light.
Stay tuned for my next assignment. Happy Thursday!!
